Ready to Update? Here’s How:
Over-the-Air Update: if you are on a Wi-Fi Network you can update to iOS 12 right from your device (no need for a computer or iTunes). Just connect your device to it’s charger and tap Settings > General > Software Update. iOS will automatically check for an update, then prompt you to download and install iOS 12.
Update via iTunes: First make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. Now connect your iOS device to your computer. Click the iPhone or iPad icon in the top-left corner of iTunes. Next click Check for Updates > Download and Update. Follow the prompts, accept the terms, and let iTunes work the magic.
New Features with iOS 12
Improved Portrait mode and improved QR code reader.
A new For You Tab is added to keep the best moments in your library organized. Also added smarter sharing suggestions and improved the search function to include events and places. You’ll also see a redesigned Albums tab.
