At AM Consulting + Design, we strive to provide a safe space for marginalized individuals, including marginalized genders, Black, Indigenous peoples, and people of color, and those with varied abilities.
In the past, AM Consulting + Design focused on working with individuals who felt comfortable within a womxn space. Though we were trying to be inclusive of all women and non-binary folks, this ‘womxn’ label was restrictive and didn’t incorporate all individuals who are marginalized because of their gender identity. ‘Womxn’ has now been classified as outdated language and has been updated on our platforms to recognize it as such. We recognize the importance of using language to ensure that we include all people with underrepresented genders that we strive to support within our organization.
AM Consulting + Design is an all-inclusive and diverse company with zero tolerance for racist, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, or antisemitic behavior and attacks. We are continually looking to improve our accessibility to be in accordance with ADA policies and create a better experience for all people who learn and process information differently.
Being inclusive means continuing to educate oneself on creating a safe and supportive space for all individuals to participate in. AM Consulting + Design has made it a priority to do this and to be open to the perspectives of marginalized individuals to ensure that we are doing our part to address the barriers that exist within our society.
AM Consulting + Designs believes Black Lives Matter, Trans rights are human rights, love is love, and science is real. Hate on the Indigenous, AAPI, Jewish, Muslim, and other marginalized communities will not be tolerated.
AM Consulting + Design respectfully acknowledges the Chippewa (Ojibway) peoples as the first inhabitants of the land now known as Copper Island in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, where AM Consulting + Design’s offices are located.
