UP Myofascial Therapy

Role: Branding, Logo Design, Website Design & Development, Copy-editing

The Project:

Teresa, of UP Myofascial Therapy, is a passionate myofascial therapist and business owner in Houghton, Michigan. She reached out to me because she wanted to grow her business and educate her clients. She wanted to streamline her business by going paperless and cleanup her clunky appointment process. Most importantly she wanted to give her clients easy to navigate access online with information to further their therapy at home. We discussed her goals and ways a new website would make a difference for her. Her branding was okay, but it really needed a refresh. I put together 2 different color palettes for her to choose from. With her input we created a logo and favicon to uniquely identify her business. Although Teresa works in the chiropractic / massage therapy field she wanted to avoid any imagery that had to do with hands, feet, or the spine. Knowing her love for her hometown in the beautiful upper peninsula of Michigan I decided to highlight the Keweenaw Peninsula in her logo. Her favicon is a play on how myofascial therapy is often the missing puzzle piece to the healing journey her clients are on. With branding in place we were able to begin the website project. We worked together over a few weeks to fully create Teresa’s content and website. We updated her branding and talked together about how she wanted to step into her market. Her new website feels totally authentic and most importantly, it does all the things she needs it to do – both now and as her business grows. Her clients are able to quickly book appointments online and submit their new patient paperwork all in a couple quick clicks online. When their appointments wrap up Teresa is able to point her clients to her Education page which includes her Post Therapy Goals reference guide encouraging them to continue therapy at home. Our favorite focus of her website is the extensive video library offering her clients easy access to stretching exercises and more educational resources they can dive right into on her website. Teresa is excited about her new website, proudly using it to market her business in a big way. She’s seen a 30% increase in appointments booked each week due to the ease of scheduling online. Recently she was recognized by a prestigious chiropractor in the field and earned an out of state referral who was able to easily check her out online. Animal Rescue: A Non-Profit Animal Shelter

Role: Website Designer, Website Developer

The Project:

The Animal Shelter came to me in need of a website they can showcase the animals they have that are available for fostering or adoption. I took this idea one step further simplifying their adoption process and making all the paperwork available online. During the discovery phase of the project I learned they were also needed to reach more people with their monthly newsletter, make it easier to accept donations, broadcast their upcoming adoption events, and help volunteers see how easy it is to get involved. Now potential adopting families can visit their website, learn about the animals they have available, see photos and videos of the animals, and start filling out the paperwork prior to walking into the shelter. At the end of the project I worked one-on-one with their staff to teach them how to manage their animals and events listings so they can update their site on their own as needed. Since launch the shelter has been able to increase their adoptions and streamline the process making it easier on the shelter, new fur families, and the animals too. Mick + Della

Role: Website Designer, Website Developer

The Project:

Mick and Della, now newlyweds, came to me when they were first engaged to setup a website for them to communicate with their wedding guests through all phases of wedding bliss. They wanted a space they could share their proposal story and news of their engagement. Throughout the engagement the website was used as an information hub for getting the details to their visitors as they planned their destination wedding. First was the wedding shower; collecting RSVPs and sharing the bridal registries with guests. Then came the details for the wedding; location, hotel accommodations, video footage of the venue, and collecting RSVPs. Finally they shared their wedding photos and honeymoon details with all who have shared in this beautiful time in their lives. I was thrilled to work with them! The Project:

Jess, a Life Coach, came to me because she had "website shame" - it's a thing! Her previous website just wasn't working for her and she was embarrassed to even send people to it. She knew without it she didn't have a place where people could discover who she was and how they could work together. Through my extensive discovery phase we created a strategy that takes the user on a journey. When someone lands on her site, where do they go next? She now has an effective website that is generating more opt-in form leads, growing her mailing list, and more booked appointments. We also did a complete overhaul of her digital identity. By giving her the tools to represent herself better on social media platforms she's been able to grow her audience; nearly doubling it in the first month her site launched.
